This licence allows a firm to take a mandate over a client's foreign exchange trading account and trade it. Your money stays in your own account; the firm has authority to place trades in it.
It is one of three separate forex licences on the register, and the only one where somebody else is making the decisions.
By signing a management agreement with a licensed firm. Before that: confirm the licence on the register, establish how the firm is paid, and establish what happens when the account loses money — because leveraged currency trading is designed so that it sometimes will.
There is no published, audited, comparable track record for this category in Kenya. A licence means a firm is permitted to manage money; it says nothing whatever about whether it has made any.
If a track record is shown to you, ask who audited it and over what period, and whether it includes the accounts that were closed.
The full list is on the regulator's own page, which is where it stays current.
